Jakarta MRT — CP201 / CP202

Overview

Jakarta's first metro line took its North–South corridor underground through the city centre on packages CP201 and CP202, with Kawasaki and JIMT earth-pressure-balance machines driving beneath one of the world's most congested capitals.

Our founder Kakita Naoki worked both packages — soft alluvial ground, shallow cover and a city learning to build a metro for the first time. Exactly the kind of pioneering environment Zen Tunnel Engineering is preparing for in Dhaka.
